Police in Bethulie apprehended a female and two males for possession of stolen copper cable at the R701 road just outside Bethulie. Bethulie Detectives and Transnet Security were activated on Thursday evening after acting on an intelligence-driven operation. The team conducted a waylay operation after receiving intelligence-driven information about the possible theft of copper cables.

Members of the Economic Infrastructure Task Team and the City of Cape Town’s Safety and Security Investigation unit conducted an intelligence driven operation which resulted in the arrest of two City of Cape Town employees and a third suspect. The joint operation was carried out in the Ndabeni area yesterday where it was discovered that
