Princeton Symphony Orchestra Opens 2022-23 Season with Violinist Anne Akiko Meyers and US Premiere

​​​​​​​(PRINCETON, NJ) The Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s (PSO’s) 2022-2023 season opens September 10-11 with the incomparable Anne Akiko Meyers performing Arturo Márquez’ new violin concerto Fandango. The work was commissioned by Ms. Meyers and was premiered by her in 2021 with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. Another concert highlight is the PSO’s US Premiere of Spanish composer Marcos Fernandez homage to Leonard Bernstein, America. Rounding out the striking concert program are Joaquín Turina’s Danzas fantásticas, Ruperto Chapí’s Prelude to La Revoltosa, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol.

Weekday Schubert Quartets, Baroque, and More at Princeton Festival

(PRINCETON, NJ) Chamber and Baroque music lovers have the opportunity to enjoy multiple weekday concerts during the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO)’s all-new Princeton Festival, which runs June 10-25. National radio personality Rob Kapilow makes an appearance, and performing ensembles including Germany’s Signum Quartet, the Sebastians, the Festival Chorus and the unique trio Time For Three perform under the enormous performance tent on the grounds of Morven Museum & Garden or across the way at Trinity Episcopal Church. All performances take place at 7:00pm.

American Repertory Ballet presents the World Premiere of Ethan Stiefel's "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) American Repertory Ballet (ARB) presents the world premiere of Ethan Stiefel’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, April 1-3, 2022 at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center. His first full-length ballet for the company since being named Artistic Director in the summer of 2021, Stiefel’s magicalproduction for audiences of all ages will be performed in collaboration with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kenneth Bean.

Cellist Pablo Ferrández Returns to perform with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra

(PRINCETON, NJ) On Saturday, March 5 at 8:00pm and Sunday, March 6 at 4:00pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) welcomes Spanish cellist Pablo Ferrández back to Princeton for a performance of Antonín Dvořák’s iconic Cello Concerto in B Minor. Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov conducts the program, which includes contemporary composer James Lee III’s recent work Amer’ican, and Igor Stravinsky’s beloved Firebird Suite (1919). Performances take place at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall, on the campus of Princeton University.

Princeton Symphony Orchestra Announces 2022 Spring Subscription Series

(PRINCETON, NJ) The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) has announced its 2022 Spring Subscription Series with live, in-person performances at the orchestra’s home venue of Richardson Auditorium on the campus of Princeton University. The 2022 Spring Season includes works by contemporary composers James Lee III and Gabriela Lena Frank, plus symphonic works by Dvořák, Stravinsky, Brahms, and Mendelssohn. Concertos by Jean Sibelius, Antonín Dvořák, Alexander Scriabin, and Erich Korngold spotlight the talents of emerging and internationally renowned soloists.
