CPW looking for volunteers to help in public land clean-up efforts

COLORADO SPRINGS â Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for volunteers to help clean up State Wildlife Areas in southeast Colorado.
Last year, more than 2,000 volunteers contributed more than 273,000 hours, which is equivalent to 131 full-time employees.
The clean-ups are scheduled for April and May but volunteers need to register and complete a training session prior to the events. You don t need to be next to someone to clean up trash! So, that will be, hopefully we ll be able to engage a lot more people out there with the clean-up efforts. And of course, the more hands, the faster the work. So we can really accomplish a lot, Volunteer Coordinator Jeanette Lara said.
