FAYETTE MAN FACES MULTIPLE FELONIES IN PETTIS COUNTY

Multiple drug-related items were allegedly located at a residence in the presence of a child, and two Fayette residents are facing felony charges. According to a probable-cause statement, on December 21, officers with the East Central Drug Task Force, Howard County Sheriff’s office and the Fayette Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at an apartment in the 500 block of South Cleveland Street where they seized several plastic baggies containing illegal drugs, prescription pills and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. The woman’s 2-year-old son also was located in the residence. Darrell Wayne Greenfield is charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs or Attempt in the First Degree; a Class D Felony for Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs in the First Degree- First Offense; and four counts of a Class D Felony for Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

ST. CHARLES WOMAN FACES FELONY CHARGES IN LAFAYETTE COUNTY

A St. Charles resident is facing multiple drug related charges following a traffic stop on Interstate 70 in Lafayette County. A report from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department states that just before 2 a.m. on Monday, March 29, a deputy conducted a traffic stop after he observed a black Dodge Charger following too closely to another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, 60-year-old Kimberly Ebernickle refused to consent to a search of the vehicle, claiming it was not hers. During a search of the vehicle, authorities located a semi-automatic handgun, which had been reported as stolen out of Walton County Georgia. Authorities say they also located several syringes with needles, a small plastic bag that contained a substance, which field tested for methamphetamine, a small container that contained a small amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

TRAFFIC STOP IN COOPER COUNTY LEADS TO ARREST AND FELONY CHARGES FOR INDEPENDENCE MAN

An Independence man is facing a couple of felonies in Cooper County following a traffic stop on March 9. According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a trooper stopped the vehicle after he observed there was no front license plate. The license plate that was on the rear of the vehicle was registered to a Chevrolet pick-up and not the Cadillac that the trooper had stopped. After questioning the driver, the trooper approached the vehicle where he observed the passenger, Jeffrey Scott Harris, moving things in the console and it appeared as though he had put something in his pocket. The trooper instructed Harris to exit the vehicle.

UPDATE: CASE CONTINUED FOR TWO VERSAILLES MEN FACING MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES

Two men are facing felony charges after authorities located more than two pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in June of last year in Lafayette County. During a search of the vehicle, Lafayette County deputies say they found a total of 2.17 pounds of marijuana. Michael Eugene Jensen, 48, and Rick William Lawson, 40, both of Versailles, are charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Additionally, Lawson is charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond for each defendant has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
