A dad-of-one has said he wouldn t be here today if it wasn t for the open heart surgeries he had as a child.
Connor Derbyshire, from St Helens, was born with a congenial heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a condition which affects the blood flow around the body.
At 11-months-old, Connor, now aged 24, had open heart surgery at Alder Hey Children s Hospital - the first of three major operations and surgeries that he would have before reaching his early twenties.
