school shooting in iowa. we re told to prepare for police to give an update. their very first moments away. if you look at the left side of your screen, you can see the microphone bank there. you see officials gathering. as soon as they walk up to those micks i ll go there right away and take it life. this is perry high school in perry, iowa. police have confirmed reports of an active shooter at that high school. just so you know the location, it s about 25 miles northwest of the capital of iowa, des moines. today is the first day back at school following the school district s winter break. no confirmed casualties yet. you may hear otherwise. we want to wait and get that firmed up. perhaps momentarily from the officials that you see in the distance there on your screen. as always with breaking news, the situation is in flux. we want to try to get that confirmation if anybody has been killed or hurt directly from the officers. i m harris faulkner and you are in the faulkner f
murder. lucas tomlinson is here with details. lucas: chaos in a matter of seconds, richmond police chief describe one suspect. another individual is in custody, 19 years old, we believe was involved in the shooting. in consultation with the attorney s office, we plan to seek charges for second degree murder times two for that individual, with more potential charges to follow. lucas: seeven people were shot and two killed at the graduation at virginia commonwealth university. at least 12 others were injured. witnesses describe the scene as utter chaos. 20 gunshots were heard. a witness described elderly people getting knocked to the ground. among the dead, a male student and a man who attended the graduation. it took place a mile from the state building. glenn youngkin says our hearts break, tonight we grieve for classmates, neighbors and the richmond community. multiple handguns were discovered at the scene. todd: tough story there. fox news alert, pope frances underg
