The Commission on Elections is confident that the voting process will run smoothly as it undertakes the final testing and sealing of vote counting machines before the May 9 elections.
Sen. Sherwin "Win" Gatchalian called on the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Philippine National Police to ensure "maximum protection" for teachers serving in this year s elections, especially those located in areas of concern.
