We have a limited time so we will have a speed round on a number of topics for governor hogan. Colorado has very ambitious climate goals. Can you outline those for us. Yes i ran for office with a goal of 100 Renewable Energy by 2040. We already had several communities that stepped up with more aggressive goals the first was pueblo, colorado our industrial heartland with a goal of 100 Renewable Energy by 2035 also to cities that have already achieved 100 aspen and now glenwood springs. We look forward to have the statewide story. We have a variety of utility providers and number of municipals, some are leading the way, some are lagging that were looking forward to work with everybody to achieve that. California needs the rain. Todays storm helped boost our water supply. Were dealing with the cold, wet, and windy weather. Its something else. Today a quickmoving storm soaked the bay area, dumping rain that overwhelmed drains and caused problems on the roads. Reporter parts of the bay area saw hail. A viewer sent us this video from outside his home in the castro district. And the highest peaks picked up some snow. 3,400 in the santa cruz mountains. The sierra got smacked with a lot of snow. More than a foot at higher elevations. This is video of the treacherous drive along interstate 80. Amber lee is here now with more on how the weather affected everyones day. Its been a while since we have had heavy rain. A day of treacherous driving and dealing with problems caused by the rain. Reporter thursdays winter storm made a big splash all over the bay area. In San Francisco, we found standing water. Neighbors say its a recurring problem. I live here. Thats my garage. Water gets too high. I
Survivors am human trafficking, ranging in age from 24 to 54. The police came. And they had their guns, their machine guns. Reporter this neighbor too afraid to show her face lives on silverlake road in this quiet neighborhood. I feel relieved. Nobody wants this in their neighborhood and around their families. Reporter she says the tenants moved in in december. She would see young girls and men going in and out of the home and expensive cars parked outside. Among the items, police atm machines. I didnt know who actually moved in there. Reporter this next door neighbor says police checked to see if anyone had jumped in his backyard. He and others had no idea. Im just really surprised. That in our neighborhood, things like that go on. Reporter one neighbor said the house had Christmas Lights on all the time so the house would stand out.
