Community in Crisis moving to 'permanent home' in Bernardsville

BERNARDSVILLE – Community in Crisis (CIC), a local non-profit created to combat the opioid crisis, will be relocating from the Old Library building on Route 202 to another historic building not far away on Church Street in the new year. In press release on Thursday, Dec. 17, CIC announced that it has received “transformational gift’’ from the Margaret A. Darrin Charitable Trust and has purchased a “permanent home’’ at 9 Church St. CIC is now renovating the historic three-story house, formerly owned by the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, and plans to relocate there in late January or February 2021. The non-profit has been renting space at the Old Library, the former borough public library which dates back to Revolutionary War times, for more than three years now.
