(WDAM) – Jones College sophomore guard Daisha Bradford was named Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference “Player of the Week” for a second consecutive week. The transfer from Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College was selected for her play during the week ending Feb. 7, when the Lady Bobcats recorded a 74-46 victory over East Central Community College and an 83-59 victory against Southwest Mississippi Community College.

SSC employees recognized at statewide conference

SSC employees recognized at statewide conference The Shawnee News-Star Two Seminole State College employees were honored at the 53rd annual Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges Conference, held virtually this year on Jan. 29. During the event, SSC Recruitment Specialist Britney Honsinger was recognized as Professional Staff Member of the Year and Assistant Professor of Business Brad Schatzel was named Faculty Member of the Year for the college. Honsinger has been employed by SSC for two years. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. Her responsibilities include recruitment, advising and building relationships with high schools in the college’s service area. She currently serves as the 2020-2021 Professional Staff Association Chair on campus. She is currently pursuing an MBA and enjoys painting in her spare time. She and her husband Nat reside in Earlsboro. They have three children and one granddaughter.

(PRCC Athletics) - Opponents change; rosters change; even the facility changes. What hasn’t changed for Pearl River baseball during the watch of coach Michael Avalon are expectations. Three years ago, the Wildcats claimed the MACJC Championship. In 2019 the Wildcats earned the Region XXIII Title and claimed a World Series berth. Ranked No. 5 in the NJCAA, PRCC looked poised for another run in 2020 up until the season was squashed.
