Asaduddin Owaisi, head of AIMIM, responded on Tuesday to an MHA notification giving district collectors in two more Gujarati districts the authority to grant citizenship to immigrants.
Under the new rule by the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the District Collectors have the right to investigate people and give them citizenship, informed officials.
