In Bright s statement he explains Walker and her husband were well known and frequently seen at veteran events, and as founders of the Vietnam Memorial Foundation. The pair were instrumental in the construction of the Vietnam Memorial and organized motorcycle rides, fundraisers and personally solicited donations that made their dream a reality.
