(File Pic) 72 Bhubaneswar: In another step towards sustainable agriculture and doubling of farmers’ income, Odisha Government has sanctioned 12 new projects of worth Rs.7,295.25 lakh under Rastriya Krushi Vikash Yojana (RKVY). The projects have been sanctioned in the State Level Sanctioning Committee meeting held on digital mode under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy wherein Principal Secretary Agriculture and Farmers empowerment Sri Saurabh Garg outlined the issues for discussion. Giving sanction to the projects, Chief Secretary Sri Tripathy directed to specify deliverables with time lines against each project and monitor those closely. Odisha s revenue generation shows upward trend by November end

29 Bhubaneswar: Beating the Covid-19 crisis in different sectors of economy, Odisha has maintained upward trend in revenue generation because of Government’s dynamic financial management strategies. By November end of the current year, the total revenue collection has grown by 4% over the corresponding period of last financial year. This was known from all Secretaries meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in Convention center of Lokseba Bhawan today. Reviewing fiscal performances of various departments up to November-2020 presented by Principal Secretary Finance Sri Ashok Kumar Meena, Chief Secretary Sri Tripathy directed the departments to focus on faster implementation of the projects by utilizing the budgeted money without parking the funds anywhere. He also directed the departments to ensure expeditious execution of the infrastructure laying and livelihood generating projects.

National Food Safety Index Ranking: Odisha Secures 13th Position 65 Bhubaneswar: With different food safety measures, Odisha has shoot-up its position to 13th in National Food Safety Index ranking for the year 2019-20 from 26th position in the last year. This was known from the state level food safety advisory committee meeting held on digital mode under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy from Lokseba Bhawan wherein Commissioner Food Safety Smt Yamini Sadangi outlined the issues for discussion. Reviewing the progress made so far, Chief Secretary Sri Tripathy directed the department to intensify food safety awareness among the people and food business operators (FBOs). He also directed to strengthen the surveillance measures.
