MANILA - The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday said it can hold special polls for the position of Cavite 7th District Rep. Jesus Crispin "Boying" Remulla once he assumes the job as secretary of the Department of Justice (DOJ) in the next administration. Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said it is up to the House of Representatives to decide if it would appoint a caretaker solon or declare a vacancy and call for a special election.
