Drug dealer shot dead in Surabaya 26th December 2020
(ANTARA/Didik Suhartono) Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA) - A drug dealer, a resident of Malang, was shot dead in Surabaya, East Java, on Wednesday (December 23, 2020) after he attacked police officials in an attempt to evade arrest, said police.
The drug dealer, identified as Agus Slamet, 34, allegedly attacked cops with a sharp weapon after he was caught selling drugs.
Police also apprehended another suspect, identified as WIJ, 25, who lives near Slamet s house, Surabaya Police chief, Sen.Coms. Johnny Eddison Isir, told ANTARA here on Friday.
The arrest of another suspect, AIH, led police to Slamet and WIJ. AIH was arrested at his home in Prambon neighborhood of Sidoarjo district, East Java, on December 5, 2020 over his alleged involvement in drug crimes, Isir informed.

All drug packages bore a similar symbol 55 Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police apprehended 11 suspects for smuggling 201 kilograms (kg) of crystal methamphetamine from the Middle East into Indonesia, the Jakarta police’s spokesman, Sen. Coms. Yusri Yunus, stated.
The suspects were recently arrested at the WIR Hotel in the Petamburan neighborhood, Central Jakarta, from whom the cops seized 196 packs of crystal meth weighing 201 kg, Yunus was quoted by ANTARA as saying in Jakarta on Wednesday.
All drug packages bore a similar symbol 55 , he noted, adding that police investigators believe that the Middle Eastern network is involved in the drug smuggling operation.

Inspector General Petrus Reinhard Golose Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Inspector General Petrus Reinhard Golose as head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to succeed Commissioner General Heru Winarko at the State Palace here on Wednesday morning.
Golose s appointment was based on Presidential Decree No. 203 / TPA of 2020.
Golose graduated from the Police Academy in 1988 and has experience in the field of research. This two-star general last held the post of chief of the Bali Regional Police.
Golose was one of the police officers to be offered an extraordinary promotion when he joined the Bareskrim team that managed to knock out the terrorist Dr Azahari and his group in Batu, Malang, East Java, on November 9, 2005.
SE Sulawesi police arrest man with Medan-sourced 1.6-kg marijuana 22nd December 2020
Evidence of drug crime (ANTARA/HO-Ditresnarkoba Polda sultra) Kendari, SE Sulawesi (ANTARA) - Southeast Sulawesi police officers arrested a man, only identified as R, 32, on Monday morning, for possession of a 1.6-kilogram package of marijuana he received from an unidentified person in Medan, North Sumatra Province’s capital.
The suspect was apprehended at his rented house in the Kendari Barat neighborhood area at around 10:29 a.m. local time, Chief of the Southeast Police s Narcotics Investigation Directorate Sen. Coms. Muhammad Eka Faturrahman stated in Kendari City on Monday.
The drug package was delivered to the suspect through a courier service and logistics company, he remarked, adding that the police were able to act effectively to thwart this drug crime owing to a tip-off recently received from residents.
