RAIDERS PLAYER TO WATCH: Running back Zamir White filled in admirably for Josh Jacobs, who was out with a quad injury, by running for 69 yards and scoring his first career touchdown last week against the Chargers. The Chiefs are much better against the pass than the run, so it could be up to White to help the Raiders set the tone on offense. Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce called it the “less is more” approach that defensive coordinator Patrick Graham has adopted this season, and so far it's working. A year after Las Vegas had one of the NFL's weakest defenses, the Raiders now are more of an asset than a liability, more of a reason why some games are won rather than lost. Players say Graham is a big reason for that turnaround.
Four days was all the Las Vegas Raiders had to recover from their worst performance of the season. “We were kicking (butt),” said Raiders cornerback Jack Jones, who returned an interception for a touchdown. Las Vegas wide receiver Davante Adams was a late addition to the Raiders' injury report and is listed as questionable with an illness for Thursday night's home game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Adams has 76 receptions for 867 yards and four touchdowns. If Adams doesn't play, that could create more targets for Jakobi Meyers, who has 57 catches for 616 yards and six TDs.
