arizona congressman andy biggs. thank you for your time. i don t know what you are hearing out in arizona. but let s start there. we are waiting for the top line from mr. barr. but i think most of people i am talking to out here just on the ground, they are of the opinion that there must not be anything there because nobody is getting indicted. the collusion issue in many respects is a dead issue to people. though the reality is we have to see what s in the report. bill: how will you be briefed? i spoke to a colleague of yours and he said two on the senate side and two on the house side. do you expect to see this at the same time they do? i don t think they will give the rest of the judiciary
they were going through the questioning of the president, what questions they can ask of the president. the lawyers for the president worked very hard to keep any questions out about the obstruction. absolutely. now we understand why. they were legitimately concerned about the obstruction issue. they knew on the collusion issue, they felt a little stronger about it. it seems even reading this report, this is where the special counsel s office, that s the position they took as well. and it may be the reason. that may be the reason it says we can t exonerate him, because they didn t talk to him. also, it says in cataloging the president s actions, many of which took place in public view, the report identifies no actions that in our judgment constitutes obstructive conduct. what was the other conduct that wasn t in public view? or was it conduct that s already been reported on? certainly the legal fight, when it comes to mueller, is over with. now there s this political fight that
the experience back in 98. when it was over, it was over. no one wanted to talk about it again. everybody talked about monica lewinsky for an entire year. everyone talked about russia collusion for two years. i think there s russia collusion exhaustion. neil: but i think it veered from the collusion issue to your point. this does not address collusion because it doesn t find evidence to that. if that is indeed the case that no one has been charged directly with conspiring russia to rig an election which is the initial intent. if it s veered now with these other investigations into the business dealings and the like, how are americans going to respond to that? well look, i think that americans are really give two responses number one if you say should we investigate x, they always say yes, but 60% have said these investigations have been hurting the country. so i think democrats have to think long and hard. do they want to talk about healthcare the issue on which they won the mid-term
investigate? i know you re focussed on this collusion issue. that s why we had the special counsel. yeah. with regard the collusion issue, i would like to know what mr. mueller thought he could not pursue on his own but he needed assistance from other investigative agencies or u.s. attorneys who are also continuing their investigations. in other words i m curious whether in this report and i think the american people must see this report by the way whether this was a midterm report or a final thesis? did he basically farm out the rest of the investigation to other u.s. attorneys to complete the investigation? we ll see. good thought. stay with us. much more coming up in tonight s breaking news. special counsel mueller has can concluded this is his final report and submitted it to the u.s. attorney general, william barr.
to stay at nine justices. dems court packing plan is all wrong. in that piece he talked about our institutions suffering a crisis. we should do no further harm. he have will propose a constitutional amendment that would prevent changing the face of our supreme court. where do you stand on this issue? well, i m not in favor of i m not in favor of changing the number of justices. i m not in favor of this court packing plan. the only time it has every been tried in american history was by fdr and it resulted in a crushing blow to him. it really damaged his popularity in a way he never recovered from until the beginning of the second world war. i don t think we need a constitutional amendment. i don t think it is going to happen. we don t need to have a constitutional amendment every time somebody is worried about something. i don t think it will pass so i just don t think that s necessary. could i go back and make one point about the collusion issue
