That is part of the reason why Health Officials are now ramping up these enforcements no businesses because they want to keep people safe and doing this because of the Holiday Shopping season. Yesterday alone, Santa Clara County reported 512 new cases and setting a new record. 213 hospitalizations were also reported yesterday, including 45 new ones. Another new record. County believes those numbers will be even higher tomorrow. Those staggering numbers are part of the reason why enforcement efforts are being enhanced and the county Fire Department will now assist with compliance officers who have already been tasked with making sure businesses follow capacity restrictions and require face coverings and apply social distance guidelines. We are extremely concerned about what this means for our hospitals ability to care for, not only people with covid19, but for other people who need access to care in our hospitals. Reporter
