area teen who prosecutors say stock piled dangerous weapons in his parents house. good afternoon, everybody. welcome to news4 at 4:00, i m jim handly. i m pat lawson muse. that bethesda teenager suspected of plotting to make homemade bombs entered his plea in federal court in greenbelt today. 19-year-old colin mckenzie gude pleelded guilt gri to one count of constructing a weapon device and they found dozens of chemicals and electric timing devices last july. prosecutors believe he intended to use those ingredients to make bombs. they allege he had a fake cia i.d., a map of camp david and hit list containing the names of teachers at st. john s college high in the district when you are in possession of something, you are in possession of something. it s not a matter of who they belong to, who purchased them. this was an event that he participated in by the mere fact he possessed them, they were in his house. mckenzie-gude is facing up to ten years in prison. today f

they discovered a burned body in the driver s seat. there were no immediate signs of foul play at this scene. however, our detectives are open to all possibilities at this stage of the investigation. reporter: police say the van was found partially on a median strip on bradley boulevard in bethesda. joe mcdonald says witnesses told him the burning van actually came to a stop at this fuel station on the corner. they pushed the vehicle back away from the gas tank, back into the road and then put the vehicle fire out. it was pretty close to the pump? it was hitting over the top of the main tank for the station. so that could have been a disaster right there. possibly. wouldn t have been good. reporter: police tell news4 the circumstances are unusual and suspicious. they re not sure if the driver died from the fire or some other way. and they re investigating whether the van caught fire because of some sort of mechanical or electrical problem with the van or if th
