BENTON, Ark. In less than 24 hours of its announcement, the vaccine clinic at First United Methodist Church in Benton was booked solid. All 1,000 appointment slots were full. We were kind of watching the numbers, we re like, oh, we re gonna hit 1,000 in the first night, Allie Staton, the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at West Side Pharmacy, said. Wow, this is awesome.

Former State Rep. David Shepard dies at age 73

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â Former longtime State Rep. David Shepard has died at the age of 73.
The House Democratic Caucus confirmed his death on Thursday, saying Shepard had been battling cancer for the past several months and had recently contracted COVID-19.
As a Democrat, Shepard represented Tennessee District 69, serving parts of Dickson, Hickman and Maury counties for 16 years.
The Democratic Caucus said Shepard had several accomplishments while in the legislature, including the passage of numerous bills that benefited veterans and Dickson County residents ranging from requiring insurance companies to cover conditions previously not covered to several Dickson infrastructure bills.

CLEVELAND â The first shipments of COVID-19 vaccine began arriving in Northeast Ohio on Tuesday; so far, Aultman Hospital and the Cleveland VA Medical Center have posted videos and photos showing what is perhaps the most anticipated delivery this holiday season.
The first round of 975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine was delivered to Aultman Hospital in Canton just after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
