Alutech United, a manufacturer of roll shutters and roll screens, moved its Sarasota operation from Northgate Business Park to a new facility in late March.
A 70,000-square-foot industrial property at 6620 19th St. E. was purchased for $4 million by an entity related to Alutech. The company will occupy 20,000 square feet of the building, and several other longstanding tenants will occupy the remaining 50,000, according to a press release.
Jag Grewal, broker and partner at Ian Black Real Estate in Sarasota, represented the buyer in the transaction, and Ben Bakker of MSC Commercial represented the seller, Central Park of Commerce LLC.
Alutech, which ran out of space at its previous Sarasota location, was initially looking for 20,000 square feet, Grewal said. However, the tight market forced them to increase size.
Breezy Bakery has opened at 11904 Cortez Road W., in Cortez.
The bakery sells made-from-scratch pastries by Bri Suzano, an award-winning pastry chef who graduated at the top of his class at International Culinary Institute and has worked as the executive pastry chef at several luxury hotels, including the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas, Trump Hotel Chicago and Trump National Doral, Miami.
Menu specialties include fresh pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, gluten free and assorted desserts, all made daily. Cakes available by the slice or whole. Cookies available individually or by the pound.
