now 11, clashes between police and agitators in oakland during a second night of unrest in the bay area. fire crews try new tactics to contain one of three massive wildfires burning in the bay area. northbay businesses hit twice by covid closures and wildfire evacuations working to bounce back. everybody is eager to have some sort of sense of normality. we start with breaking news as we take a live look at oakland the police have declared unlawful gathering underway in the downtown area. oakland police tweeted out these videos of people in the crowd, chucking water bottles at police and pointing a green laser at officers. the clash is playing out in the area of mande night and grand avenue s just off 580. the also reported rocks being thrown at him and protesters being shields as weapons. police warning that violators will be arrested. it remains unclear if anyone has been and we will can do to monitor this protest. tonight s protest comes on the heels of more than one

the omega family office. nice to see you we just welcomed a conversation on stage. you just heard the vice president who is on stage now describe the economy as booming, the stock market as near record high the fed cut interest rates yesterday. all makes a lot of sense. the administration wants even more what do you how do you make sense of it? look, japan has had negative interest rates for 3 1/2 years what has it done nothing. europe has negative interest rates. their economy is doing very poorly the vice president cited a bunch of factors, in of which on my list, consumer confidence is up, retail sales strong economy growing at trend, corporate profits are decent corporate america if they were pessimistic, they wouldn t be buying back all the stock they re buying rates are already low. i pity the poor guy or girl that s worked their entire lifetime when they go to their financial planner and ask for advice about retirement. how can they afford to retire? there
