New markers added at library 'to make history of library known' | The Cleveland Daily Banner

TWO HISTORIC markers have been placed in front of the Johnston-Tucker Center (History Branch) of the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library. One shares the history of the local public library and the other the history of the Craigmiles House. MEMBERS OF the Historical Marker Committee stand with the Hardwick-Journal House market in front of the library on Ocoee Street. It uses photos and verbiage to share the background of the house which is now part of the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library. Committee members were, from left, Anne McReynolds, Library Board and Foundation member; Margaret Schenck, chairman of the Library Board; Jim Park, past chairman of the Library Foundation; Andrew Hunt, director of the library; and Barbara Fagen, former chairman of the Library Board.
