The Ministry of Railways made the decision to launch a special initiative called campaign 2.0 in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi s goal of emphasising cleanliness everywhere, lowering the pendency of public complaints, and enhancing workplace culture.
In a bid to reduce paper waste in Indian Railways, the Government of India recently launched a Special Campaign to turn Indian Railways completely paperless, following a notice issued by the Railway Ministry.
Over Rs 254 crore has been earned so far from disposal of scrap during a short period of three weeks of the ongoing Special Cleanliness Campaign 2.0, while 37.19 lakh square feet of space has been cleared, which was earlier occupied by junk and scrap.
