Wonder Woman herself, on the phone with The Chronicle from Los Angeles, is eager to discuss the new short-form documentary series she produced for National Geographic, “IMPACT with Gal Gadot,” which premieres Monday, April 26.
“Kelsey’s story hit me like a punch in the stomach,” says Gadot.
“IMPACT’s” six episodes, each under 20-minutes long but packed with emotion, focus on individual women in the U.S. and Brazil whose stories Gadot selected for having overcome adversity and found a way to positively impact their communities including Kelsey Ellis of Pacifica, a surf therapist who tells her heartbreaking story in episode 2, “Surf Sisters,” scheduled to air May 3.
