[applause] ha ha ha ha ha ha! and good evening everyone, welcome to america s late news, i m trace gallagher in los angeles. breaking news unfolding a suspect remains on the loose after multiple shots fired at michigan state university, police confirming that three people are dead. we do not know whether these are students or faculty or a combination. we know that several others are injured, number 5 given to us but that could change. we are waiting for a news conference to begin. the severity of injuries we don t know. we do know two of them appear life-threatening and students across campus told to shelter in place. what are we hearing? the search for the shooter is ongoing but we have been given a description and pictures of what police say is the suspect they describe him and you see as a black man wearing a jean jacket black pants red shoes they say a navy cap with lighter brim as you can see there and in that pictured and accom
two minutes after the shooting began. the new information now indicates she was among several dps officers on scene who potentially could have taken action to stop the gunman. subject with an ar. reporter: footage shows her without a bulletproof vest or long rifle at a step with active shooter training. she spends most of the 77 minutes before the class room was breached outside of the school. according to sources familiar with the investigation, elizondo told investigators that without her gear, she was not comfortable joining the others inside. out of nearly 400 law enforcement officers who responded to the shooting, 91 were from the texas department of public safety and seven were referred for further investigation for their conduct that day. crimson elizondo is one of them.
