accident. derek? reporter: speeding trains what are caused the young girl to die. a short while ago, her weeping mother was out here. she placed this cross here by the accident scene where earlier this morning one of the speeding trains cut her daughter s life short. at speeds at more than 100 miles per hour, amtrak trains ripped through this area. tuesday morning, just before 9:00, one of those trains struck and killed 14-year-old ann marie stickle, who was walking along the tracks with a friend on their way to school. they were walking parallel on the tracks. the friend that she was walking with that ann marie was walking with, was able to get out of the way, but ann marie was not. reporter: sky eye chopper 13 was over head as they removed her body. an area was clearly marked no trespassing, signs neighbors say are routinely ignored by area teens. the fans put new chains on it and they go back through there again. reporter: along some stretches of the train tracks
