Long Melford pharmacy is third to give Covid jab in Suffolk

Published: 8:41 AM February 4, 2021    Updated: 12:01 PM February 4, 2021 The team at The Pharmacy in Long Melford, which has begun to offer the Covid-19 vaccine. - Credit: West Suffolk CCG A pharmacy in Long Melford is today joining the campaign to vaccinate the Suffolk population against Covid-19 - making it the third chemist to offer the jab.   The Pharmacy in Long Melford, which is located in the High Street, will join the two existing community pharmacy sites that went live with vaccinations on Thursday, January 21 - Aqua Pharmacy in Duke Street, Ipswich, and Hayden Chemists in Bridge Road, Lowestoft.  This brings the total number of Covid-19 vaccination sites in Suffolk to 25, comprising three large vaccination sites, 19 primary care network (PCN) hubs and three community pharmacies.

Vaccine centre opens at former school in Bury St Edmunds | East Anglian Daily Times

The Bury site is one of a number of vaccine centres to be opening in the region this week.  The Job Serve Community Stadium, home of Colchester United, opened its doors to its first patients on Tuesday as a vaccine centre.  While Clacton Hospital is also set to begin to offer vaccines this week alongside Chelmsford City Racecourse.  The new vaccine sites join the existing mass vaccination centre at Gainsborough Sports Centre in Ipswich which began vaccinating people last month.  Richard Bird was among the first to be vaccinated at the former River Walk School in Bury St Edmunds
