The unrelenting heat wave continues as it felt like being inside an oven Tuesday. That's why Kern County Public Health is encouraging everyone to stay hydrated and if possible stay indoors.
As a result of the high heat in the forecast, several cooling centers in Kern County will be open Friday. Cooling center locations will be open around Kern County.
With high temps in the forecast, multiple cooling centers across the county are opening their doors to the public Wednesday. Cooling centers in Arvin, Bakersfield, Shafter, and Taft will be open.
