WHY DOES THE MALIBU COUNCIL MAJORITY BOW TO REVA?
The farce Malibu City Council has become in the majority’s defense of despotic and devious City Manager Reva Feldman raises serious questions concerning the motives of Mikke Pierson, Karen Farrer and Paul Grisanti.
What indeed prompts the willful three to continually thwart a clarion call however shrill by concerned residents for transparency and accountability, accompanied by an independent review of City Hall by a qualified independent management firm, along with a citizen’s oversight task force?
As a skeptical journalist who also has been involved in some exacting public investigations, I have to speculate whether some ethical issues are raised in their relationships to the wily City Manager.

Mayor Mikke Pierson promised an investigation into Wagner s claims, though the exact methodology of that investigation remains unclear. (Jefferson Wagner)
MALIBU, CA Mayor Mikke Pierson released a public statement on former Councilmember Jefferson Wagner s sworn affidavit, which alleged different acts of corruption at Malibu City Hall. The City of Malibu is taking the allegations in the affidavit seriously and will convey the affidavit to the proper authorities, Pierson wrote. The City is committed to transparency, accountability and ethical conduct in everything it does, both at the staff and Council levels. There is absolutely no place for any corruption of any sort at Malibu City Hall. Should any corruption be discovered at City Hall, the City will take all appropriate legal actions in response. We welcome the scrutiny.
