Richmond Heights Police Chief Thomas Wetzel told City Council’s Safety Committee during its online meeting Tuesday (Jan. 19) about the department’s latest purchase the Bola Wrap. The RHPD is one of the first departments in the area to purchase the restraining device, which has been described as “remote handcuffs.” Bola Wrap allows an officer to safely and without inflicting pain restrain someone by, basically, tying up a suspect.
