Sheâs made of American flash black granite, perched on a gray granite pedestal. Sheâs polished like a mirror, curvy, triangular, and weighs a mere 3,200 pounds. Sheâs cost about $43,000 so far.
Shown is a paper replica of the Female Veterans Network monument to honor female veterans. On one side of the three-sided granite monument is a woman in military uniform with an inscription, beneath her feet, honoring female veterans. Creation of the monument is nearing completion, with an installation ceremony planned Jan. 30.
