David Raymond Bishop, 79, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, following a brief illness. David was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Nevada, to Durward Divine and Velma Addie (Tennison) Bishop. On May 3, 1968, he was united in marriage to Sue Mease in Lebanon, Mo., and she survives of the home.
David was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1960. He attended Drury College in Springfield for two years before joining the United States Navy in 1962. David served during the Vietnam Conflict as an electrician stationed in Subic Bay, Philippines, and later aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. Following his honorable discharge in 1966, David served an additional two years in the U.S .Naval Reserves. Upon his return to Missouri, he moved to Springfield and worked at Millers Mutual Insurance in Springfield for several years then began employment at AVCO Finance in Springfield. WARNER ROBINS, Ga. Warner Robins Mayor Randy Toms announced a big deal in the works Wednesday. We ve covered stories for the past two months on a vacant building that sits on Watson Boulevard. The city tried to contact the building owners, and finally reached someone this week. Mayor Toms says one of the owners said the building is being sold to build a new medical facility.

The Olin and Morley food pantry would like to thank all of those that have made contributions and grants for the pantry in 2020. As we all know, 2020 was a challenging year with more people being food insecure. Thanks to the additional funds we received, we have been able to meet the needs of all those who were feeling the loss of jobs and income.
This year is starting off with just as much need so thanks to all who helped us out in 2020 and to those that will help in 2021.
