steve forbes of forbes magazine, welcome back, the jobs number is out, inflation number is out, a fast fact that will make your stomach turn, if we wanted to balance the budget in five years, 2015, we could do it, we d have to raise income taxes on every american by a whopping 43 percent. can you get your head around that? new york city and nor could the economy, if you raise taxes all you re going to do is weaken the economy which means less revenue in the future, less asset creation, less asset growth in the future. the only way we re going to dig ourselves out of this hole, one is spending restraint, if they don t spend the rest of the t.a.r.p. money and stimulus money, that would save 800 billion off the bat, if reducing tax rates, which would mean a better housing morning, stock market and sensible reforms on health care and social security. it s not that hard to do. bill: well, here s the thing, though, republicans, they don t want taxes to go up, democrats don t dant
