ESPN writer Bill Rhoden on Monday criticized the prominence of the US flag during the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics
He said the sight reminded him of flags on display at the January 6 Capitol riots We ve seen the rise of white nationalism, he said. Now when I see the flag [I think] what America am I living in?
Rhoden also said the Olympics should have been cancelled because of the recent surge of coronavirus cases with the spread of the Delta variant

In fact, the organization found much good to relish during its 2020 Community Celebration last week at the Ocala Civic Theatre.
Along with dozens of awards to community members and businesses, the evening included revealing the 2020 annual revenue results, which came in at $4.7 million. Hosts County Commissioner Michelle Stone and Deputy Superintendent of Schools Mark Vianello, who are respectively the United Way of Marion County’s board chair and 2020 annual giving chair, made the big announcement.
