According to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, Kumar was arraigned February 25 in Haverhill District Court on one count of disseminating obscene matter to a minor.
Winding road to shot
Richmond, who teaches computers and business at a Bergen County high school had her first COVID-19 vaccine appointment Jan. 31 at the state-run mass vaccination hub at the Westchester County Center. She had her paperwork in hand. But a worker there said she didn t qualify. Her husband, Christopher Richmond, who is an IT specialist for the same Bergen district, canceled his appointment after what happened to Lindsay.
The Richmonds were not the only ones. State Sen. Elijah Reichlin-Melnick said that he heard from about a dozen constituents who lived in Rockland but worked in New Jersey schools who had hit a wall when trying to get vaccinated. He introduced legislation to ensure New Yorkers who are essential workers in another state would be eligible for vaccines.
