LIMA A former Lima police officer has filed a civil lawsuit against the Lima Police Department, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and employees of each of those offices, alleging his civil rights were violated when he was arrested and jailed overnight more than a year ago.
Christopher Lemke, a former LPD officer who was fired from the force earlier this year following his indictment on charges of the unauthorized use of law enforcement automated database system, is seeking compensatory and punitive damages in excess of $25,000 in the lawsuit that was filed last week in the Allen County Clerk of Courts Office.
