There are now four ‘mission’ writers on the Press Service International team being published in Christian Today.
Last year the CT editor asked me to add to the quiver of young writer articles, a fresh genre, Mission articles.
Since then, the mission writing team has grown to four – all published in Christian Today.

Ben Campbell from Sydney is the CEO of Africa Enterprise. He or a team member provides fortnightly articles with photographs mission articles. These are very well received and have a wide distribution throughout the Africa Enterprise mission situations around the world.
Hope. It is simply one of the most amazing words there is. It flies into the capricious face of loss, pain and tragedy and says, This is not the end.
Hope gives us reason to live, a reason to hold on through our painful and sometimes seemingly pointless circumstances, it is a knowing that there must be something at the end. Hope is seeing through the eyes of faith that there is indeed a point to all this, though at present the darkness may be so thick we can barely see a foot in front of us.
Hope goes beyond our current circumstances and believes against all odds that the situation, no matter how dire, how bleak, how painful, unfair or evil, that it WILL NOT have the final say.
.” All of us have a desire to be happy, right? Therefore, in other words, satisfaction means having contentment in happiness.
If God desires us to be content in happiness through pursuing Him, why does He allow bad things to happen like COVID-19 epidemic?
In the Scriptures, God never says that He desires us to be happy, unfortunately. However, through Psalmist, He did say, “
May all who are godly rejoice in the Lord and praise his holy name!” (
Psalm chapter 97, verse 12)
Since God is eternal, He wants to remove everything that is not of Him and desires us to find everlasting satisfaction in Him. In other words, God delights us to have eternal happiness in Him, instead of just being happy in the temporary world.

Any number of my readers have rejoiced in the Lord to have been directly or indirectly involved in witnessing quite a number of young people acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, in other words they have become Christians, followers of Jesus.
They have made these very personal decisions from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences and speak of how the Lord guided them individually through this or that situation whereby they in effect, fell at the foot of the Cross seeking forgiveness of sin and opening a whole new realm into their lives.
