Traders at Ashaiman market have expressed delight about the increase of sales and profits during the Christmas holiday, a survey conducted by the Ghana News Agency team during the yuletide has shown.
Madam Akosua Agyeiwaa, a clothing and shoe vendor at the Ashaiman main market, told the GNA that the daily sales had improved drastically due to the yuletide.
“I have made lots of sales throughout the period. It is not easy to make that kind of sales on a normal day in the market. People from across the regions travel to buy already made dresses, shoes and socks for their children for the Christmas and New Year celebrations,” she said.
