There is significant radioactive contamination at an elementary school in suburban St. Louis where nuclear weapons were produced during World War II, according to a new report.
A study released by a chemical company found nuclear material in several places inside the elementary school. An Army Corps of Engineers official questioned the report saying the agency found no contamination at the school or areas nearby.

Coldwater Creek runs directly behind Jana Elementary. The creek was contaminated in the 1940s and 1950s when waste from atomic bomb material manufactured in St. Louis got into the waterway.
