ASX to slide, Wall St retreats after record run

Australian shares are set to follow European and US stocks lower, at the open. Still iron ore retook the $US180 a tonne mark and copper is seen as poised for a run at $US10,000 sooner than later.
ASX futures were down 32 points or 0.5 per cent to 7018 near 7am AEST. The currency edged higher. The yield on the US 10-year note was up 2 basis points to 1.60 per cent
In New York, all three benchmarks started the week on the back foot. Each closed lower though off their session lows. The S&P 500 slid 0.5 per cent; 10 of its 11 industry groups were lower, paced by consumer discretionary, information technology and utilities.
