Labour's crime candidate reflects on result

IN increasing Labour’s vote by more than 30,000 county wide, and taking Labour into a clear second place, Chris Vince has declared that ‘Labour are clearly the only viable opposition to the Tories across Essex, and this result gives us a strong base to go forward and to articulate a clear vision for the future.’ Labour increased its vote share to almost 25%, received just under 100,000 votes, and moved from third to second since 2016, in the Essex Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner election, with its vote doubling in both Tendring and Chelmsford, and winning more votes in Harlow and doing particularly well in Southend and Braintree.
