Remembering Dr. John Judson: ‘A true compassionate physician and friend’

Judson, 81, died Nov. 29 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.
Judson was a graduate of Villanova University and Georgetown University Medical School, did his surgical residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, and later a cardiothoracic surgical residency in Salt Lake City, Utah.
His family said his “passion for medicine as a general and cardiothoracic surgeon included work in Blacksburg, Va.; the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.; Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas; Benton Harbor, Mich.; and Harrisburg.”
He volunteered at Hôpital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti where he was the medical director from 1997 to 1999.
