The programme was organized in collaboration with Divisional Forest Officer, Forest Division Batote, Kuldeep Singh, who also planted a Chinar sapling in front of Quarter Guard of Battalion complex alongwith Amit Gupta-SSP, Commandant IRP 16th Battalion.
During the plantation drive, saplings were also planted by several district officers who were invited to participate in the plantation drive. Prominent among them were Nisar Ahmad, Executive Engineer, PDD, Ramban; Nazir Ahmad Jaral, Executive Engineer, PHE, Ramban; Maqbool Hussain Choudhary, Executive Engineer, PWD, Ramban; Reyaz lqbal Tantray-SP, Adjutant IRP 16th Bn; Kishore Kumar Gupta, AEE, PHE Ramban; Munir Ahmad, JE, PHE, Ramban. Divisional Forest Officer and participating officers/officials appreciated the efforts of jawans and other ranks of IRP 16th Battalion for ensuring optimum green areas in and around the complex.
