The Lego Group has been making LEGOs since 1949. I played with their building blocks, as did our sons. Now our grandchildren are continuing the tradition. Heretofore, LEGOs were known for two characteristics: they can be used to build nearly anything, and they are very painful to step on barefooted (I can attest to both facts). Now we can add a third: LEGOs are promoting LGBTQ activism.
Fixer Upper star Chip Gaines and wife Joanna hit with foul-mouthed online attacks for donating $1,000 to his sister s hardline anti-critical race theory school board election campaign
Chip and Joanna Gaines have been abused online for supporting Chip s sister Shannon Braun in an upcoming school board election
The Fixer Upper hosts donated $1,000 to Chip s sister Shannon Braun, who has repeatedly posted attacks on critical race theory on her campaign website
Braun is running to be elected to the school board of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District in Texas
She has launched repeated attacks on incumbent trustee Mindy McClure, whose campaign website does not mention CRT
Apparently, someone wanted to try to get folks to cancel Chip and Joanna Gaines.
Here’s the headline blaring out from a story in The Hill: “TV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines donate to campaign against critical race theory in schools.”
The piece notes how the couple, known for their show “Fixer Upper,” donated $1000 to the campaign of Shannon Braun for the school board in the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District. Braun is against the teaching of critical race theory in schools.
Oh, no! What evil people! We must drum them off of cable TV. That’s the reaction they seem to be trying to get from folks on the left. As indeed they did.

Media reports surfacing Tuesday and Wednesday went after Chip and Joanna Gaines for donating to a campaign run by Chip Gaines’ sister that critiques critical race theory.
Braun has called critical race theory the “single most divisive threat that we have in education.”
“I will vote down anything and everything that further promotes critical race theory in our school district and actively work to remove all critical race theory,” Braun said in a video message on her campaign Facebook page.
