After Detroit, Dearborn has the highest number of cases in Wayne County, about double the amount of comparably-sized cities.
Dr. Mouhanad Hammami is the Chief Health Strategist for Wayne County. The county’s COVID-19 case count is fairly low right now compared to other counties across the nation. Yet Hammami says when it comes to COVID-19 numbers in the county, he and other officials have noticed a glaring trend.
“Every week, we look at the top 10 municipalities that have 10 or more cases,” says Hammami. “Dearborn is always number one.”

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services has tightened the vaccine guidelines across the state.
As of Wednesday, vaccine recipients in Kentucky must be either:
a resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky able to demonstrate residency consistent with the requirements of

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) â Wayne County Health Officials announced Monday that there are currently four positive cases of the COVID variant B.1.1.7 in the county, and four potential cases are being investigated.
41-year-old male, who recently arrived from international travel, and has since left the country;
42-year-old female;
35-year-old male, who recently has returned from international travel.
The recent Wayne County numbers bring the state total of positive variant cases to 17. The other cases have been identified in Washtenaw County.
