Victim of Mantorville Apartment Fire Identified Enter your number to get our free mobile app Mantorville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Dodge County Sheriff s Office has identified the victim of this morning s apartment building fire in Mantorville. A news release issued by Sheriff Scott Rose says 68-year-old Cynthia Ferguson died after a fire broke out in the Chestnut Apartments around 6:30 a.m. At least five other people were transported to St. Marys Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and the Sheriff says two of them are believed to be in critical condition. No other information is available concerning their injuries.

Several Trapped In Mantorville Apartment Building Fire

UPDATE: One Dead, Several Hurt In Mantorville Fire The fire was reported around 6:30 am at Chestnut Apartments. Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose says several occupants were trapped in their apartments. Rose says five of the occupants were taken to St Marys Hospital, one with critical injuries. Reports from the scene indicate a woman who was trapped stopped responding to fire crews before they could reach her apartment. Reports indicated she was unresponsive when they did reach her and CPR was given to the victim. Fire crews and other first responders from several surrounding communities were called to assist in fighting the blaze and dealing with the occupants.  The fire was brought under control around 8:00 AM.

KAAL-TV Created: February 04, 2021 07:51 AM (ABC 6 News) - UPDATE: The Dodge County Sheriff s office has identified the victim from the Mantorville apartment fire as 68-year-old Cynthia Ferguson. The cause of death is unknown at this time. All other victims were treated for various levels of smoke inhalation. According to Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose, there are two other tenants currently in critical condition in Rochester, but no additional information is available at this time. The investigation is being conducted by the Minnesota State Fire Marshall s office.  - (ABC 6 News) - UPDATE: The Dodge County Sheriff s Office said one person has died and at least five others were taken to the hospital after an apartment fire in Mantorville Thursday morning.
