Up in salem county, just to the east of Pennsville Salem is getting a lightning show this morning. Its heading towards woolwich and gloucester. A heavy shower is popping up over chester as well. Its a line of showers that extends now into bucks county. This leading edge is moving faster. Its moving to the northeast at 30 miles an hour. So it will quickly move through the area. Look at this heavy rainfall. The rain tapers off. The rain is already starting to settle down. Which is a sign these storms are weakening. But there is rain on the ground. It will take some time for the rain to come downhill towards lower lying roads and thats the potential for flash flooding. A warning is in effect. It was more of the same here along much of Long Beach Island, a few vacations said that the rain was coming down if buckets. Haley says that when it was over long beach boulevard including the School Parking lot looked like a river. I come outside to watch the cars come by they send waves literally up to our front door. Two months. Last week the thieves stole several wallets at gateway shopping center. Once they get the wallet they go to work charging. A lot of times theyll try to get High End Electronics if the cards will go through if they can make those purchases. Often theyll just get gift cards and theyre easy to sell on the street, repurpose them. I never thought about it. I just feel like this is a safe area and i just never imagined someone is going to do that here.
