14 people found this useful A Doncaster car dealer who sold mis-sold a previously written-off Vauxhall Corsa and misrepresented 33 more cars has been handed and 18-month suspended prison sentence. Gorgin Daniel, of Cherry Tree Drive, Dunscroft, was convicted of trying to sell the “potentially dangerous” Vauxhall Corsa after failing to properly repair structural faults. He was also found to have recklessly misrepresented a further 33 vehicles in adverts over a five-month period. Daniel had provided false details about write-offs or accident history and he failed to disclose any live product safety recalls on the vehicles, including a breach of a safety notice Trading Standards placed on a dangerous convertible Ford Focus.

When asked why he had no insurance the 26-year-old joiner admitted he had been disqualified from driving two months before for drug-driving. Judge Robert Egbuna handed the defendant a six-month curfew confining him to his home address each night between 6pm and 6am.
