The orchards are part of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council’s climate change project.
Speaking at last week’s meeting of Cheadle Town Council, Councillor Joe Porter who is the council’s cabinet member for climate change, said: “Climate change is a top priority as the Moorlands council declared a climate emergency in 2019 to be carbon neutral by 2030.
